Recognized as one of the world's most prominent and talented designers, Barbara Barry's name and look have become part of the popular dialogue. Barry's ability to create beautiful and uncomplicated living environments has earned the praise of her peers and the press, making her the most widely published female American designer today. In 2000, Barry was inducted into Interior Design Magazine's Hall of Fame. Barry's collaboration with Tufenkian began in the mid 1990's. Inspired by the distinct textures and striated colors of Tufenkian's hand knotted carpets, Barry created an essentially spare collection with a basis in quiet geometry. In addition to her Designers' Reserve contributions, Barbara Barry has designed Variations, a collection that captures the grace of the fluid line.
