The three-page article, entitled “Smart Living, Family Style,” featured Laura’s comforting and colorful eco-friendly lifestyle. With natural products like recycled-paper countertops throughout her house, Laura proves that stylish living can also be green living. One of the features of Laura’s home mentioned in the magazine is the Tufenkian Tides Seacove carpet that she purchased from Edgar Kelly and now has in her living room. Tufenkian carpets are made entirely of natural fibers like wool, cotton, silk, hemp, and aloe. These require no energy or petroleum products to manufacture, and are completely biodegradable. Yarns are carded, spun, and woven by hand, so the entire process uses human, rather than carbon-fueled, energy. |
