Catitlin McVarish 
Starting in fabric design, sourcing and production, Caitlin has been working with textiles for over 20 years. She has lived and worked California, Italy and the East Coast.  Since joining Apadana 3 years ago Caitlin thinks working with hand knotted carpets is the perfect combination of her degree in Cultural Anthropology and background in design.  One of the things she enjoys most is “coaching” clients toward rug choices that compliment their home environment and lifestyle.

Mohsen Alidadi
Mohsen founded this family run company in New York City over a quarter of a century ago.  The Alidadi family lineage traces back to Iran, where his father devoted a lifetime to the art of selecting quality rugs and gave this legacy to his sons.  With generations of knowledge behind him, you can feel confident in his expertise in selecting rugs.

Projects

Apadana, worked with Tufenkian’s custom design department to create two beautiful custom Tufenkian designs, in coordinating colors, for a contemporary open dining and living room space. Tufenkian’s, Iceplum, in a custom color, finishes off the dining space, while the living area is pulled together with Arching Lattice in a custom size 14x15 and color.

Charity

Apadana Fine Rugs has partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Fairfield to help furnish homes of those less fortunate.

After countless questions from clients regarding rug recycling, Caitlin McVarish, Apadana Showroom Manager, has partnered with Habitat for Humanity for a solution. The result: “Out With the Old, In With the New," a new rug recycling initiative. Now you can join Apadana and Habitat for Humanity in helping local Fairfield County families by donating gently worn rugs and other pieces of furniture. Bring your goods to Apadana’s Cos Cob, CT showroom and receive a tax deductible donation certificate that can also be used towards 20% off a purchase of any new rug in stock. Purchase a new rug with the satisfaction of supporting Habitat for Humanity and those in need.

In addition to funding general administrative projects, all rug donations will go to Habitat’s ReStore in Stratford to help provide low-income families with the chance to own their own home.
