Internationally renowned designer Clodagh designed the 4,000 square foot showroom to be an inspiring workspace for designers and clients to collaborate while enjoying easy access to long-lasting carpets that don’t sacrifice beauty or design.
Designers working with the Tufenkian showroom enjoy the world’s widest selection of designs and colors. As well as Tufenkian’s Core Tibetan and Armenian collections, the showroom also provides clients with Tufenkian’s Designers’ Reserve collection, consisting of exclusive designs by Barbara Barry, Mark Pollack, Kevin Walz, and Vicente Wolf. Tufenkian also offers the opportunity to order carpets in custom shapes, sizes, and designs.
Every Tufenkian carpet is handmade from the highest-quality wool, silk, hemp, and linen using a meticulous process meant to ensure that each rug will remain beautiful for lifetimes.
Carlton Teabout – Showroom/Sales Manager Carlton brings a strong sense of style and integrity to Tufenkian. He has a degree in interior design and has sold Tufenkian Carpets almost twenty years. His expert knowledge of handmade rugs and creative background makes him an excellent consultant to designers interested in selecting and customizing Tufenkian creations. He has a strong vision of Tufenkian's contribution to the world's social, economical and environmental consciousness and is enthusiastic in helping that vision to unfold. Carlton's ongoing client list includes Christine Killian, Kirk Nix Associates, Marnell Corrao, William Hefner, and Wilson and Associates.
Mariah Shaw- Inside Sales After five years working with one of our respected local dealers, Mariah Shaw joins Tufenkian’s LA team armed with extensive knowledge of handcrafted rugs. Mariah brings a dynamic presence and a keen sense of Interior style to our Los Angeles Showroom. She has a passion for the innovative design and craftsmanship of Tufenkian carpets as well as building long-term relationships within the design community. Previously, Mariah spent ten years in hospitality management with such esteemed companies as The Patina Group and Saddle Peak Lodge, where client relations and customer service was key. Mariah is in alignment with Tufenkian’s philosophy of social responsibility and environmental consciousness.
Bryan Pernot – Operations Manager Bryan has been with Tufenkian LA for three years. After spending time in sales support learning about all things, “Tufenkian,” Bryan has taken on the role of Operations Manager. From inventory control for the Tufenkian Showroom and Archive Center to facilities management, Bryan is keeping busy. Don’t worry though, if Bryan assisted you with product selection or custom design in the past, and you can’t imagine working with anyone else, he is still available for customer assistance.
Randy Lopez - Outside Sales Representative With a bachelor’s degree in marketing and communications and graduate studies in interior design and spiritual psychology, Randy brings a rich and diverse background to Tufenkian’s Los Angeles outside sales team. Randy enjoys working with both hospitality and high end residential interior designers throughout California, with his territory extending north through Malibu and south through San Diego. His sharp eye for detail, pleasant demeanor, commitment to professionalism and strong ability to communicate clearly all add to his effectiveness as a highly productive outside sales representative.
This year, the award-winning Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts, now in its 45th year, features four Tufenkian carpets: Tashkent Eggshell (placed by Saxony Street Design), Rag Weave Blue Ridge (Sensi Design), Dorset Wintermoon (Wendy Weiner Interior Design) and Daisy Mae Touch of Gray (David Reaume Construction & Design). The showhouse will be Proceeds from the Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts benefit music programs and scholarships in Southern California.
